Top 5 annoying driving habits

Think you're a good driver? Ever been flashed at by another driver and not known why? Check below to see if you are the perpetrator of some really heinous driving crimes:

  1. Fog Light Misuse

This is a really simple one: "(Front & Rear) Fog lamps should only be used when visibility is seriously reduced i.e. 100 metres or less". That should cover it really. Should cover it but it doesn't seem to and more than often results in the following:

  2. Indicator Misuse

In case you were wondering: some people are so special and above you that they don't have to use indicators. This is why some people are allowed to pull out right in front of you with no warning or drift back in front of you without signalling.

  3. Tailgating

Some people insist on driving at 85 mph right up the arse of the car in front. Why? All the car in front has to do is tap his brakes and they'll either be standing on their brakes doing an emergency stop or ploughing into the back of the vehicle. Either way not a very good idea.

  4. Misuse of Mobile phones

This really baffles me. Why do people insist on using their mobiles whilst driving without a hands-free kit? Not only is it against the law, it's just plain dangerous. Most phone packages come with a H-F kit so use it! Even if they don't you can pick one up very cheaply. This is especially baffling when the driver is behind the wheel of a £40K+ Mercedes or similar... It also amazes me the percentage of lorry drivers who are on the phone on the motorways and driving close to the vehicle in front.

  5. Car Park Tickets on driver's window

This just says "I am stupid". These people are so lazy or forgetful that they don't peel the sticker off the window. This is then doubled with the fact that they never look through their side window and find a sticker in their field of vision. This suggests that they probably never check. If the driver has more than one sticker keep well clear!
